David: Yeah, been doing photography for about 15 years. You?
Me: About 7 years.
David: What type of photographing do you do?
Me: Wide field. You?
David: Kinda the same. I don't do weddings through, pain in my nuts.
Then we talked about a few things that we both share....
David: You know what gets me?
David: When my friends, and using that term loosely, have events or some stuff, days later, call me saying wish you were at my birthday, party, whatever so you can take pics
Me: I know what you mean. They say that the pictures came out crappy, blurry, yeah, I know. Instead of getting the person/friend they know to do the photography
Me: You know what gets me too, that the fact that I come across a lot of people that say "Oh, I would love to have a photo shoot," but never happens.
David: Get it all the time.
Me: One of the reasons that, for me, is that the woman is ready, wants to do it, date is set for the shoot, but all of a sudden can't because of her boyfriend.
David: Don't get me started on these boyfriends. What a bunch of pricks.
Me: Auuugggggghhhhh.....Most of the woman that I have photographed have boyfriends or husbands and were cool about the shoots. It is just this over protective, over powering, over macho men that wants to control them. I have had MANY of women tell me that their boyfriends would break up with them if they ever did a photoshoot.
David: It is really stupid.
Yeah, it was great to rant with a fellow photographer
